why fitness mattersA friend of mine recently sent me this video and I need to share.

His name is Mike Vacanti and this guy’s philosophy on fitness really nails it!

The best part is that this very fit young man is talking to US – the 50+ crowd – not the 20-something, tight bodies.

He talks about why fitness is so important as we age. Not so much to look good, hopefully we’ve outgrown that vanity. It’s more about maintaining our independence and quality of life. I especially love his point about our generation having “grit”. And he’s right, we need to find that grit again and use it to take control of our health.

And a big part of our health is fitness and exercise to keep our bodies strong.

Please have a look at Mike Vacanti’s video, it’s the best use of 3 minutes and 40 seconds looking at a screen I’ve spent in a long time. I’ve bookmarked it and will come back to it whenever I need some motivation.

It’s never too late to get fit because it matters . . . YOU matter!
